My husband had given me, my first DSLR a few Christmas's ago, but had only been using it in Auto mode. Then I finally went to a class to help get to know my camera in Manuel mode and more. It was and eye opening, inspirational, and informative class by Rod D. of InFocusLearningCenter of San Diego. I, then, let the photographer in me shine.
I've always wanted to be a photographer since I was a teenager, but alway thought that my parents didn't have the funds to help me be an artist. I grew up thinking that being an artist is very expensive, so I never pursued becoming an artist. I had taking Photography 101 in college, when it was B&W film, and was approached by the professor, if I wanted him to write a letter of recommendation to Brooks College. I thanked him and told him that I don't think my parents can afford it.
Now, I jokingly say, "I became a Registered Nurse to support my photography."
Here I am trying to start a business, while having a full time job, and two daughters and a husband to support. Its hard! Stressful! Fun! Exciting!
I love looking through various blogs to learn and be inspired.
Here are some of my first photos, I took during Annual Friendship Day in August.
